Vectors and Laser Cutting
Laser cutting is becoming more and more important and common in all kinds of technical and non-technical industries. In this introductory, practical, small group after school camp, students will learn about vectors and how they are used to design and create models. Then, in VISST’s very own on-site Maker Lab, students will learn how to operate a Glowforge machine to cut their designs out of a variety of woods and acrylics to make them come to life.

When?
Every Monday, 4:30-6:00pm, April 3 - May 15, 2023 (NO CLASS April 24) - 6 sessions.
Who?
This camp is for students aged 12+.
Cost
The camp fee is $250 (including taxes and all materials).
If the fee is a barrier to your participation, a limited number of bursaries are available for eligible families - please email camps@visst.ca to inquire.

The Vancouver Independent School for Science and Technology (VISST) - 1490 West Broadway,Vancouver, BC.
Additional Notes:
Students are encouraged to bring their own laptops but if you want to borrow one from us, we have a limited number available. Please email us to request one.
All laser cutting materials will be provided.
Refund policy: Email us at least 1 week (7 days) prior to the start of the camp for a full refund.
